Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacist to join our team at NYU Langone Health in New York City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients, providing expert advice on drug interactions and side effects, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs.
• Provide medication counseling to patients, including instructions on proper use, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-specific medication therapy plans.
• Conduct medication therapy reviews and provide recommendations for therapeutic alternatives when necessary.
• Monitor and manage patient medication regimens, including adjustments and follow-up to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Participate in patient care rounds and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions to enhance patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication profiles and documentation of interventions.
• Educate and train pharmacy staff, interns, and residents as needed.
• Stay current with developments in pharmacy practice, including new medications, therapies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent.
• Licensed Pharmacist in the state of New York.
• Proven experience in a clinical or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and medication management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
