Job Description:

About the Role :

The role of the Category Inventory Planner is to manage exit strategies for customer product transitions, graphic redesigns, packaging changes and distressed/old-age inventory.

Serve as primary point of contact for the company when supply issues arise. Work with ales, Planning, Replacement, Customer Service and various others to communicate action plans.

Manage Product Lifecycle Management activity and discontinued products as they enter/leave our business. Ensure a positive transition for the customer as well as the various departments within the company.

Assist cross-functional communication on issues for label development of new labels, redesigned labels, packaging changes, formula changes, etc. to ensure expected customer service expectations.

Communicate issues with forecasting – either purchases of significantly more or less than the forecast. Work with Sales, Demand Planning and Customer Service to get more accurate numbers in the system to allow for better customer planning and service.

Work closely with Scheduling and Material Planning to help to maintain targeted inventory levels

Review underperforming SKU’s and partner with Sales/Marketing to improve efficiencies across the network

Develop and maintain long inventory reports, and work on both root-cause analysis and disposition of inventory, as well as corrective-actions to limit future long inventory.

Aids in the development of inventory entitlement plans and tracking of performance against plans

About You :

You’ll fit right in if you have:

Bachelor’s degree in Business , Supply Chain, Finance, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field preferred

Minimum 2 years supply chain, production scheduling, demand planning, or operations experience

Able to access reports and data to utilize the information to make effective analytical decisions

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (produce & maintain graphs / tables)

Intermediate Power BI skillset preferred

Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in written form
