Job Description:
As an Adult Reconstructive Orthopedic Surgeon, you will specialize in diagnosing, treating, and performing surgical procedures for patients with musculoskeletal conditions that require joint reconstruction or replacement, particularly of the hip and knee. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care, improve patient outcomes, and advance the field of orthopedic surgery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex reconstructive surgeries, including hip and knee replacements, revisions, and other joint-related procedures.
- Diagnose and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients with degenerative joint diseases, arthritis, fractures, and other orthopedic conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, radiologists, and other specialists, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including patient education, rehabilitation planning, and follow-up assessments.
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of orthopedic surgery practices.
- Mentor and educate medical students, residents, and fellows in orthopedic surgery techniques and patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Fellowship training in Adult Reconstructive Surgery.
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in Colorado.
- Proven experience in performing complex joint reconstruction surgeries, particularly hip and knee replacements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
